Where do you teach?

Lessons are held at my dedicated studio at Oakleigh, Back Lane, Lound, Lowestoft, NR32 5NE, providing a comfortable and focused learning space. Home tuition may also be available in the local Lowestoft area upon request.

How much are the lessons?

Standard lessons are £25 per hour. For younger children (typically under 8 years old), engaging half-hour sessions at £15 are often recommended to best suit their attention span. Most students find weekly lessons provide the best momentum for progress.

All lesson purchases are non-refundable after a 14-day cooling-off period.

What are your teaching times?

Lessons can be scheduled Monday to Friday between 9am and 9pm, and on Saturdays between 10am and 5pm, subject to current availability.

What skill levels do you cater to?

All skill levels are warmly welcomed! From complete beginners who have never held a guitar, to intermediate players looking to break through plateaus, and advanced guitarists seeking to refine specific techniques or explore new musical avenues.

What will I learn in the lessons?

Lessons are entirely tailored to your musical interests and goals! We'll work at your pace, covering essential chords, versatile scales, music theory (as much or as little as you like), various playing techniques, and most importantly, the songs and styles you love.

Can I learn specific songs I like?

Absolutely! Learning to play songs you know and love is one of the most rewarding parts of the journey. We'll definitely incorporate your favorite tunes and artists into your lessons.

I've never played. Will it be too difficult?

Not at all! Every guitarist starts at the beginning. We'll cover the fundamentals step-by-step in a clear, patient, and encouraging way. You'll build a solid foundation and be surprised at your progress.

Is reading sheet music necessary?

No, reading traditional sheet music isn't a requirement for learning guitar, especially for many contemporary styles. We often use guitar tablature (TABs) and focus on learning by ear. However, if music reading is something you're interested in, it can certainly be part of your lessons.

What's the minimum age to start?

I generally teach students from age 6 upwards. The key is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. It's truly never too early or too late to embark on your guitar adventure!

What's your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. This allows the slot to be potentially offered to another student. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may still be subject to the full lesson fee.
